Our Doulas
Brie Watson
Certified Birth Doula, B.S. Micr., NAC
"Fertility and reproductive health are the core of our existence, and a passion of mine that drives me into birth work. Since 2016, I have been pursuing education in birth work, with a lifetime remaining to learn. When hiring me as your Birth Doula, it is my goal to provide your growing family the resources and comfort you need to feel confident in your unique pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. I have had the privilege of attending and assisting in several births through 80+ hours of shadowing various providers, hundreds of hours working full-time at Moscow/Pullman OBGYN and Pullman Regional Hospital, and experiencing birth/reproductive challenges first-hand. Through this, I have witnessed birth naturally, medically, surgically, of singles and multiples (twins), learning that each journey is exceptionally powerful and sacred. I love to journey alongside my clients and their partners ensuring that they feel safe, supported, and confident with each decision they make during this transformational time.`` Certification Organization: ProDoula Year Began Practicing: 2021 Education: ProDoula Course Completion, 2021 Bachelors of Science in Microbiology- University of Idaho, 2020 Nursing Assistant Certified in WA State, 2018 Basic Life Support for Adults and Infants, 2018 Website: birthwithbrie.com Email: info@birthwithbrie.com Service Area: Palouse and Surrounding Areas. Margot Gildner
Birth Doula, Postpartum Support
My name is Margot. I am a Palouse area local and mama to two sweet babes. My babies’ births were vastly different, and the experiences I gained from both inspired my desire to support other expecting mamas on their birth journeys. As your doula, I will support your values and aspirations and encourage you to voice your wants, needs, questions and concerns. I believe you should have all the resources you want regarding your rights as a birthing person, and you should be able to have open and clear communication with your birth team and support system to ensure you are set up to have the right birth experience for you. I believe you should feel completely confident and safe with the people you choose to surround yourself with during this sacred time. Whether you choose an unmedicated home birth or a medicated hospital birth, or anywhere in between, you should feel confident that your doula supports your choices and will encourage you every step along the way. I am working towards my DONA birth doula certification to provide you with the most up-to-date and evidence-based resources. I also know that this transformative time does not end once your baby is earth side! The postpartum “4 th trimester” can bring new challenges, and I want to support new mamas and their families during this time as well. I am happy to discuss resources and help prepare you for your postpartum time. Outside of doula work, I work as an academic coordinator for the WSU Kinesiology department, earned my master’s degree from the U of Idaho in Leisure Studies in 2023, and my undergraduate in Outdoor Rec from the U of Idaho in 2020. My focus in school was supporting women in the outdoors and encouraging women to become confident leaders with strong support systems to inspire one another to take the lead. I love spending time with my family rafting, hiking, camping, mountain biking, rock climbing, making food, and doing home renovation projects. Hailey Schneider
Birth and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, RN
My name is Hailey. I am a labor and delivery nurse, certified birth and postpartum doula, and childbirth educator. I am also a mom to two sweet girls. My passion is providing evidence-based information to allow families to feel confident in making decisions about their care. I believe that we should make decisions through education and information, not fear. I want families to be prepared: learn how to talk with their provider and ask questions, know their (many) options, have tools available to help cope with labor whether it is medicated or unmedicated, and be active participants in their care. Lisa Viehouser, PDC Founder
Certified Birth Doula (DONA), Certified Postpartum Doula
Birth is not about 'doing it right ' or 'one way is better than the other'. I am convinced that the birthing person and their partner need to be given evidence based information and support as they make the choices that feel right to them. It is also very important to me to give you the nurturing and informed care that you deserve. I am honored to support all kinds of families, and look forward to partnering with you as you welcome your little one. My heart's desire is to be able to encourage families to trust their innate wisdom and help them to joyfully embrace their new role as parents, by walking alongside them through the wonderful and challenging journey before them."
